If you watch the sun descending behind the horizon line you may be lucky enough to see a phenomena called the ‘green ray’.

Embodying the rise and fall of the Arizona sunset, the installation is powered by solar energy, linking our dependence on sun and water. At night it is illuminated, creating one full cycle of the sun’s movement. Gradually, it shifts through the spectrum towards a blood orange sunset, and finally at twilight, it reveals the fleeting ‘green ray’, before resting on the blue hour of the night.
